Our House

We have a beautiful house located on one of the most pristine beaches in Ecuador. We are two very healthy seniors who understand the needs and care required for seniors to maintain a happy and productive life style. We are committed to providing our guest(s) with the care and attention they need to remain healthy and happy.

Our house is an elegant and upscale property that is meticulously maintained. It offers a quiet and peaceful place for our guest(s) to call home. Your care and comfort are our number one priority.

We are located in a small town of approximately 3,000 people on the coastal highway in Ecuador. The town has small tiendas which are similar to 7-11’s and several small restaurants. There is a medical clinic in our town and there is also a family doctor who speaks excellent English. The nearest hospital is 25 kilometers away in Jipijapa. Most of the first class medical facilities are located in Manta which is 80 kilometers away.

If you decide to reside with us we will deduct the cost of your airfare from your first month’s payment. We will provide airport pick up and drop off if you decide to take a trip. If our services do not meet your expectations we will assist you with your preparations to return to your country of residence. We love Ecuador, the friends we have made, and our life style, which we will share with you. We do not anticipate there will be any major problems adjusting to the culture but you must be flexible and open to a change in your lifestyle.

Ecuador is famous for its festivals and cultural activities, which you are welcome to take part in. There is a golf course near Manta if you are an avid golfer. We have Netflix in our house so you can keep up to date with the latest movies news and shows etc.. We have a fiber optics internet setup which ensures you can keep in touch with family and friends back home.

The closest airport to us is in Manta which is 80 kilometers away. It is a regional airport. There is an international airport in Guayaquil, which is 180 kilometers away. Most people who visit us fly into Guayaquil airport. The other alternative in to fly into Quito and then catch a regional flight into Manta.

The climate and weather is Ecuador is warm all year long. Average temperatures range from 81 degrees F in February to 73 degrees F in September. Since we live on the coast our temperatures are often 3 degrees F cooler than the monthly averages. It is always cooler before 9 AM in the morning and after 5 PM in the afternoon.

Who We Are

Natasha and I built our house in Ecuador five years ago and finally decided to retire last year. We have travelled all over the world in addition to living in South Korea for three years and Saudi Arabia for fourteen years. We love meeting and entertaining people so we initially opened an Airbnb. It was very successful but the constant turn over of people can be stressful. Therefore we decided to open an assisted living facility. We would like to share our house on a permanent basis with another retired person or couple. You can rest assured that if you decide to reside at our house you will receive the best treatment possible. You will be treated as though you are part of the family.
